Combined competency programme for electrical workers renewing their EWRB Practising Licence. Upstage Electrical Training delivers the electrical competency component, while Links Training delivers the CPR and basic first aid component.

Complete your electrical competency and first aid training together in one convenient, face-to-face programme.
The programme is delivered collaboratively:
- Upstage Electrical Training delivers the EWRB electrical competency component.
- Links Training delivers the CPR and basic first aid component.
The complete programme is approximately six hours. Course content may vary depending on your registration class, area of work and any applicable endorsements.
What you'll learn
The programme provides an opportunity to refresh relevant knowledge and practical skills.
The electrical competency component may include:
- Updates on relevant electrical matters
- Electrical testing knowledge and procedures
- A practical electrical testing exercise
- A knowledge-based assessment
The Links Training component covers:
- Recognising an emergency and calling for help
- Refreshing basic first aid knowledge
- Providing CPR
- Responding safely and confidently in an emergency

Who should attend
This programme is for registered electrical workers who need to complete an approved competency programme as part of renewing their EWRB Practising Licence.
Before booking, electrical workers should ensure that the selected programme is appropriate for their registration class, area of work and any endorsements they hold.
Upstage Electrical Training can provide endorsement-related competency training for:
- Mains Parallel Generation Systems
- Hazardous Areas
- Medical Cardiac Protected Areas
Endorsement-specific content is not automatically included and must be advised when booking.
What you need to know
When booking, please provide your electrical registration class and advise us of any relevant endorsements. This helps ensure that the appropriate programme content can be arranged.
You may also be required to complete EWRB e-learning modules or bring supporting information and reference materials. Please follow the instructions provided in your course confirmation.
The Links Training component includes practical CPR and basic first aid activities. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed footwear suitable for practical participation.
If you have recently completed CPR or first aid training, contact us before the course to discuss whether any part of the first aid component may be recognised. Any exemption must be confirmed before attending.
